Privacy Policy – Ruff Sets

Ruff Sets is a personal fitness tracking application developed by CanuxLabs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Ruff Sets you agree to the practices described here.

  1. Information We Collect

Account information

  • Email address and display name (when you register with email/password)
  • Name and profile photo (when you sign in with Google)

Fitness & body data you enter manually

  • Body stats: gender, height, weight, date of birth
  • Daily logs: body weight entries, calorie intake, calories burned, personal notes
  • Workout history: exercise names, sets, reps, weights, total volume, duration
  • Personal records and in-app achievements
  • Equipment preferences and workout plan settings

Health data from your device (permission required)

  • Steps, active energy burned, distance, heart rate, and workout sessions
  • Read from Google Fit (Android) or Apple HealthKit (iOS) only if you grant permission
  • This data is cached locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers

Usage & technical data

  • Crash reports and diagnostic information collected automatically by Firebase
  • Device type and operating system version (used only for debugging)

  • Provide, personalise, and improve the App experience
  • Sync your workout data across devices via your account
  • Send local workout reminders you have opted into (processed entirely on-device)
  • Detect and fix bugs and crashes

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

  1. Data Storage & Security

Your account and fitness data are stored in Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database hosted and secured by Google. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Health data from your device is stored locally only and never leaves your phone.

While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

  1. Your Rights & Choices
  • Access & correction: You can view and edit your profile at any time within the App.
  • Delete your data: You can delete your account and all associated cloud data from the Settings screen. Local data is removed when you uninstall the App.
  • Health permissions: You can revoke access to Google Fit or Apple HealthKit at any time through your device settings.
  • Notifications: You can disable workout reminders at any time from within the App or your device notification settings.
  1. Children’s Privacy

Ruff Sets is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
